Analytical Laboratory Chemist

Esstential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Responsible for preparing analytical standards and reagents.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Calculate results using Excel spreadsheets and/or instrumentation software.
• Handle final compilation of raw data, chromatographic data complying with GLP requirements.
• Knowledge of general analytical laboratory SOPs and instrument SOPs.
• Familiar with calibration and operation of all equipment such as balances, PH meters, etc. in analytical operations.
• Knowledge of LC-MS/GC, HPLC, Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Thermogravimetric Analysis, Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC), Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectroscopy, and Solid Phase Extraction (SPE) detection methods.
• Familiar with calibration and operation of LC-MS/GC, HPLC systems and authorized software.
• Familiar with analytical method development and validation of analytical methods, including OVI, purity.
• Familiarity with sample preparation as specified by GLP.
• Knowledge of retrieval and storage of working standards and columns.

Job Required:

• Demonstrate clear verbal and written communication.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Internet.
• Strong working knowledge of organic chemistry.
• Chemistry laboratory skills.
• Knowledge of analytical chemistry instrumentation and theory.
